This year the composition programme is replaced by the Transilvanica Residency, a project co-financed by AFCN – Administration of the National Cultural Fund, which aims to build a cultural route between the fortified churches of Bunești, Biertan, Copșa Mare, Cund, Cloasterf and Mălâncrav.
Composers Sebastian Androne-Nakanishi (Romania – Switzerland), Magdalena Białecka (Poland), Wu Hongwei (China), Aine Mallon (Ireland), Sebastian Țună (Romania) and Thomas Vieira (USA) will translate the stories of the 6 fortifications into 6 musical miniatures that tourists will be able to listen to right in the spaces for which they were created, starting in November 2022.
Two pre-concerts with the 6 works will be performed by the ICon Arts Percussion Ensemble coordinated by vibraphonist Alexandru Anastasiu with guest soloists from September to November.
